Did you know that oak trees live for hundreds of years—some more than 1,000— they’re home to hundreds of species. Its strength comes from its deep roots and, moreover, from the rich web of life it supports—and is supported by.

There’s a beautiful truth we can learn from trees: they grow stronger through connection - something that crossed my mind this morning, 80 years after the end of a war that scarred generations, reshaped nations, and left behind lessons we’re trying to live by. And yet, today, disconnection feels more present than ever.

I felt compelled to write something new, something that speaks to what I believe we need more of.

This is not a book about war, the many conflicts that are raging right now, tearing people and nations apart. Theirs aren’t my story to tell.

The story I want to tell is one that’s rooted in my own childhood. It’s one that keeps resurfacing time and time again these days, as if it is urging me to share it. This story is one of reconciliation, of second chances and of transformative power of a meaningful apology.

Coming this autumn, when the oak tree will be changing colours once again - A Tree for Everyone.

I can’t wait to share it with you.
